BRANT SUMMER FESTIVAL WRAP UP: Festival Chairperson, Kristen Podkulski read her wrap up letter to the Town Board now that the final numbers were in for the 2025 Brant Summer Festival. She addressed the Town Board with a request of having the Town Sponsor the Fireworks Display for the 2025 Festival and for the future festival. She also spoke about using the money that the festival profited to either go towards improving the Town Park or putting that profit into the next years budget for the Summer Festival. This year with the Towns agreement to sponsor the fireworks, the profit would be a little over $7,000. Supervisor DeCarlo agreed that we can use the profit for a concrete addition to the pavilion. Councilman Muffoletto was also in agreement with the Town paying for the fireworks but also feels that the profit should be put towards the Festival Budget instead of spending it to improve the park. Supervisor DeCarlo asked to get quotes for a concrete pad. Kristen stated that she put a survey up for the community to take for future Summer Festivals to get ideas and suggestions for the following years and has had a great response with that. Councilwoman Marien agreed to add the profit to the budget for next year. Councilwoman Giancarlo addressed Attorney Trask about the proper way to handle the profit. He advised to ask the Towns auditors. Supervisor DeCarlo agreed to have to Town pay for the Fireworks going forward and will address the other suggestions at a later time.
