Separate sealed Bids for the Senior Center Rehabilitation will be received by the Town Clerk, Town Hall Clerk’s Office, 1272 Brant-North Collins Road, Brant, NY 14027 until 11:00 a.m. (local time) on Friday, May 29th, 2020 and then opened and read aloud.  Bids sent by email, fax or bids not enclosed in a separate sealed envelope within an unmarked generic delivery service envelope will not be accepted. The Town is not responsible for any late postal deliveries of the bid package.

The Contract Documents can be obtained in person BY APPOINTMENT ONLY (townclerk@brantny.com) on Monday May 11th, 2020 at the office of the Town Clerk in the Town of Brant, 1272 Brant-North Collins Road, Brant NY 14027. Copies will be furnished upon receipt of $20.00 (refundable, if returned in good condition) per set in the form of a $20.00 check, made payable to the Town of Brant.  If the documents are to be mailed, a second check in the amount of $20.00 made payable to the Town of Brant, will also be provided. Alternatively, for shipment of Bidding Documents, Bidders can provide their UPS or FedEx shipping account number in lieu of the $20.00 check for mailing and handling. This contract will be funded wholly or partially with federal funds, and as such, is subject to all federal rules and regulations pertinent thereto, including, but not limited to, federal policy of encouraging the participation of minority and women business enterprises as sources of suppliers, equipment, construction and services.

 

A mandatory pre-bid video conference will be held on Friday, May 15, 2020 at 10:00 am at which time the Town will identify the work required by this contract. Potential bidders must pre-register for the pre-bid video conference by email no later than Thursday May 14, 2020 at noon.  Pre-register at sec.supervisor@brantny.com OR townclerk@brantny.com.  When pre-registering, provide full contact information for your participant.

 

Questions regarding the project are to be emailed to the Town of Brant, Attn: Tracy Kaczmarek at sec.supervisor@brantny.com prior to 12:00 p.m. Noon on Thursday, May 21st, 2020 allowing time for responses prior to the receipt of bids. If necessary, an Addendum will be issued by 5:00 p.m. (Local Time) on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.

SENIOR CENTER REHABILITATION ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 001112 - 2   CPL

 

Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond from a domestic carrier licensed to do business in the State of New York in the amount of not less than five (5%) of the amount of the bid submitted.  Please note that this project is partially funded by Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, therefore CDBG requirements shall be in effect. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order Nos. 11,246 and 11,375 which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. The successful bidder must be an equal opportunity employer, must meet all appropriate State and Federal standards, and comply with all relevant governmental regulations.     A Statement of Non-Collusion and Performance and Payment Bonds will be required for this project.  The Town of Brant is exempt from the payment of sales and compensation use taxes of the State of New York and of cities and counties on all materials, equipment, and supplies sold to the Town of Brant pursuant to this contract. The sales tax exemption is extended to the Contractor, Subcontractors, and their suppliers All bids shall be binding for a period of forty-five (45) days after the bid opening date. The Town of Brant reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities therein.
